@HannahRHON@walker_mar19459@British_Airways@KemiBadenoch its not BAs problem - its the parents or responsible adults - the thunderstorms were happening for hours - so who just dumped the kid at the airport and said good luck. Think about it.

@thebodge1 No, it's just not an irish thing I'm afraid. We have high end farmers markets in a few places, but as for car boot sales / flea markets for clothes - none.
@henrywinter I don’t recall you this PR on his personality when he got appointed Boro manager. It’s all cause big bad Roy Keane questioned his credentials that the love in has started. When he fails to deliver at Utd you’ll all say it’s the owners fault. Roy’s right to question his experience
Teesside has lost one of its greatest sons.
Chris Rea was more than a world-class musician. He was one of us. Born in Middlesbrough, shaped by Teesside, and always proud of where he came from. His voice, his guitar, and his songwriting carried the sound and soul of this place far beyond the River Tees and across the world.
From working-class roots to global success, Chris never forgot home. His music was honest, emotional, and deeply human. Songs that spoke of love, hardship, journeys, and home resonated because they were real, just like him.
For so many of us, we felt that perfectly when he sang about “driving home for Christmas”, a line that felt less like a lyric and more like a shared Teesside moment.
For generations of people on Teesside, Chris Rea was proof that you could come from here and still touch the world, without losing who you are.
Today, Teesside mourns. But we also say thank you. Thank you for the music. Thank you for the pride. Thank you for always carrying Middlesbrough with you.
Rest easy, Chris. You will never be forgotten.
RIP to one our own and a true Boro legend. He never forgot his roots and always spoke lovingly of the town and its people. Ive played Steel River and Stainsby Girls tonight at full blast. Drive safe Chris.
@Boro Play Steel River at every game for the rest of the season for me, thats our spiritual song. RIP Chris, true Boro legend. I've raised a glass to him this evening.
