The federal government guarantees every state a republican form of government in Article IV, Section 4. This details the power of the federal government to repel invasions or overthrow of any of the state governments, whether those it fights in the matter are external enemies or internal usurpers and tyrants.
The president can issue a finding that this is the case in a given state. He can then use his power as commander in chief to restore republican government to any states so affected.
This requires courage. That is all it requires. Our laws are sound. Our founders were not fools. They completely foresaw that there would be attempts to establish dictatorial control over states inside the union, by any variety of methods.
The entire federation is supposed to come down on any piece so "grabbed" and kick the un-representative government out, the same way it would repel a British invasion.
@Shawn_Farash Article IV section 4 gives the President power to guarantee republican government in every state. Clearly this chaos calls their government legitimacy into question.
@bennyjohnson Article IV section 4 of the Constitution grants the President power to guarantee republican government in every state. Clearly that is at question in California
@EsotericCD The President should invoke Article IV section 4 of the US Constitution that guarantees republican government in every state. Clearly that is questionable now.
@RichPianian Donald Trump has the power under Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution to intervene to stop California's fraudulent election to ensure a Republican Form of Government
@honeyNonABG OK, let's invade then.
The constitution guarantees every state a republican form of government. Rule by self appointed tyrants who keep themselves in office forever by cheating is despotism, not republican government.
So under Article IV, Section 4, the feds should seize CA.
@DavidPollackUSA Under Article IV section 4 of the Constitution, the President has the authority to guarantee that California has a republican form of government. This election counting chaos calls that into question.
