A young boy returns to his village on his donkey at the end of the day in rural Darfur. The area has seen conflict between different ethnic groups for decades leading to a cycle of violence resulting in the deaths of over 300,000 people and displaced more than 2.5 million.

To address the impact of climate change and help the community of Namon, Kenya, IOM has planted 44,500 drought-resistant trees and vegetable seedlings.

IOM has trained the community to take care of these plants and sustain their livelihoods.
