We are very grateful to @OswestryTC for the generous grant given to us this week.
Every penny goes towards teaching local children to learn a musical instrument who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity.
The numbers of children grow each year, so this will be an enormous help.

We are so pleased to welcome Weston Rhyn Primary School as a partner. 14 children at the school have started learning guitar, flute and clarinet.
We are now providing free instruments and instrument and singing lessons to almost 100 children in local State primary schools.

We raised over £1,000 from the very generous audience, which will go a long way to providing lessons for the children.

This week we were delighted to add brass teaching for the first time. Places were offered to 6 trumpet and cornet players at The Meadows School. In addition, we started teaching 6 new violinists and 3 more clarinettists at Bryn Offa School.

It was a great day at the Oswestry Fun Day in Cae Glas Park, in aid of MusicMOB. A big thanks to @OswestryTC for all the help and the use of the park, and to Oswestry Mayor @OswestryDrummer for opening the event and judging the children's fancy dress competition.

@DavidSillitoBBC Our small local charity has been set up precisely for this reason, in our little corner of the Welsh Marches.
We teach 66 children so far in local State primary schools since we started in October. The impact on the children and the schools is already unsurprisingly enormous!

Our 'Launch Concert' will finally take place in June, after delays due to the pandemic.
Help us to continue to provide free instrument and singing lessons to children in local State schools.
We current provide for 63, to go up to 80 next term.

Today, a couple of pupils asked if they could perform at the end of a lesson. The gasps and murmurs of adoration from their peers as they performed were magic. The spontaneous clapping at the end was even more so. The collective happiness as we all left was even more so again.
