@schadjoe @luisakalefty The current system is obviously flawed because it allows teams with losing records to jump teams with winning records. Ex: Vegas (27-30 w 14 OTL) is winning their division with a losing record. Anaheim (30-24 w 3 OTL) is in the same division and clinging to the final WC spot.

@melinasphotos Absolutely. The playoff selection process is a joke. I still enjoy watching the actual games (less so when FSU plays like garbage) but I don’t engage with the politics of the committee because their decisions are driven by special interests and TV $$.

@ian_graham24 @flasportsbuzz I’m used to the firesales from ‘97 and ‘03 but ‘18 was almost worse thanks to Jeter trading away Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna, and Dee Gordon. Only team in history to trade the reigning mvp, and Yelich’s mvp the next year was the cherry on top.

@ian_graham24 @flasportsbuzz Appreciate your insight. I don’t follow the scouting and draft coverage as closely as I used to. Hopefully he pans out. MIA is capable of developing prospects. We just have a bad habit of letting them leave once they make an all-star team.

@ian_graham24 @flasportsbuzz Gotcha. I’m just so jaded by this franchise. I can’t see how in good faith they use pick 16 to draft a guy rated 43 because they can’t afford to pay a top-16 player. Same bs as always
