I flew home 11/7. In the midst of my stress and grief, TSA and air traffic controllers were working without pay. I honestly cannot thank them enough for helping me get to my mother in time and home safely to mourn with my husband and children. @TSA #airtrafficcontrollers

On 10/30 I received calls from a doctor back home, voicemails about my mother, who completed her first week of chemo and radiation on her 3rd cancer diagnosis in 25 years. I booked a flight home 11/1, was in the hospital with her till 11/2 when she passed away.

Now she must resign her position as tax collector.
