Thanks to the support of the @ONArtsCouncil production grant, Music Picnic is excited to co-produce The Year of the Cello @beyondwallsTPM, a collaboration with @magicalmudge.
In October we premiere THE YEAR OF THE CELLO by @magicalmudge and @MusicPicnicTO. Told poetically alongside a live 🎻Cello 🎻performance, this play is lament for loves lost, and a Hong Kong that once was.
Thank you @Tafelmusik for the support. On our closing weekend Oct 28 and 29, @Tafelmusik is also presenting the large scale chamber music works of Mendelssohn & Farrenc, led by guest director Aisslinn Nosky. Sure to be an exciting musical weekend.

Rong Fu plays Wen, the narrator of the love story. Bryan Holt & Brendan Rogers will play on alternating days, in the role of The Cellist. Keshia Palm joins the cast as understudy for Wen.
