@LindenLab I keep wondering why I open up the SL events tab to post an event and 90% of the time there is a featured event with disgusting graphics that doesn't meet the guidelines for posting events. Not a great advertisement for professional or educational users.

@philiprosedale @tyler_wilde Facebook doesn't know how to build a virtual community but I would argue LindenLab doesn't either. LL has never realized how social SL is. People log in to interact with people, not to see "things" or visit "places". You should really foster the event producing community more.

Interesting article. I agree that Second Life is less evil than Facebook BUT it has been my observation for more than a decade that @LindenLab has never realized that SL is primarily social. If you don't foster opportunities for people to meet, things to do, they won't come.
