i’ve shared my work in so many places over the years… across the country, even across oceans

but somehow never in the place that raised me

now, for the first time, one of my pieces has been accepted into a local exhibition in my hometown called CODE GIRL 🥹

“it’s my world” will be on view all through june!!

this one feels really special

i’m so disappointed and saddened to hear about the passing of @SannyMuthoni 💔

as the founder of itan west african artistry, i had the honor of curating her work for various exhibitions and also working with her directly on several occasions.

she was one of the few generative artists in the community, and she stood out not just for her talent, but for her presence. she was always so pleasant, organized, and professional, and i truly believed she had so much potential ahead of her.

in her memory, i will be donating the full equivalent of any sales made from her “pain of growing” exhibition on @objktcom to her family.

when i first found out about the blackdove acquisition of foundation in february i wrote an article on @paragraph_xyz about it

turns out they will not deliver any of those promises and my gut feeling was right
