@ArtificialHolly noted, i'll probably try reacting with air throw in these situations a bit more. whenever i can hit tensho from crouching after this i'm usually already expecting a jumpout above anything else
@WASJAPPIN part of me thinks it's some kind of "i'm not owned! i'm just literally retarded" doubling down from people who hated the notion of having to learn about a game or got blasted on dustbowl one too many times that has just snowballed out of control
@UFGPRBlaze it's definitely a page out of It Depends. one thing i'm trying to put into clear words for such a post is the gap between how quickly shooting & moving can be practiced versus having to earn oki to practice meaties, setting up & reacting to anti-airs.
blog post idea i'm ruminating on: from my experience, i think it's easier to practice AND have fun with shooter & rts games vs fighting games. core & adv mechanic practice is baked into even casual gameplay for fps & rts, but is almost entirely separate from casual fg gameplay.
the backtracking still feels half-baked; the notion of taking the giant volcano shard to the frozen zora fiefdom is cool, but with how often you end up backtracking, it's only for very specifically implemented things. really want to see a zelda game retry worthwhile backtracking.
since i'm replaying it, twilight princess threda ๐งต- people hated collecting all the little light orbs to revive the spirit of an area, but i think it was a great way to force people to explore. they had the vision but needed better hardware to have more "stuff" in the world.
people post the girls from the zelda musou game every so often like "they let nintendo do that???" and they're unaware this was the vibe nintendo was on in 2006
The scare tactics worked, the projections and science were 100% correct, and tens of billions of dollars were invested into protecting the reef from pollution leading to a different outcome.
