Good shake out on Friday, today was time to get it. Gutsy race, never panicked. Just kept moving up the field. Somewhere in the 30s at the start, high 20s at the mile, mid 20s at the halfway, top 20 at the 2 mile, and kept grinding. 16th place finish= All-American! #stangbang
Thursday was travel day, final workout, and getting a lay of the land. Time to enjoy the process and appreciate being here, but also start focusing in on Saturday's race.
@HugheSteeple Movies, music and podcasts...rarely used when running outside, but for treadmill it is much appreciated. Also Hill climb workouts break it up. When I get to run outside after stretches on the treadmill, it feels great for the soul!
Annalyssa Crain's doin' some great things. Runner up at IHSAA State finals. Then qualified for Nike National race in Portland by placing 6th in Midwest regional. Followed that up with a 5th place finish at Footlocker Midwest regional, to qualify for that national meet as well!
Birthday celebration for Luke, and some awards for the boys and girls teams. Boys team was 2nd out of 20 in the A division. Girls won the A division, with 5 in top 25 and a new course record by Annalyssa. Capped off with a stop at Culver's.
2019 season off to a good start. Girls 2nd at Early Bird, then two wins at Danville and our home invite. Boys 3rd at Early Bird, ahead of last year. 6th at Danville but bounced back big to win our home invite. First time in 7 year history of the meet a school swept both races.
