Completely unglued woman calls in a bomb threat on her ex boyfriend because he was flying out of town after breaking up.

​On April 8, 2026, 47-year-old Brooke Ayers placed a call to American Airlines claiming that her 34-year-old ex-boyfriend was headed to the Roswell International Air Center in New Mexico with explosives in his vehicle.

​The report immediately triggered a major emergency response. Authorities closed off the Roswell Air Center, diverted local traffic, and intercepted the victim as he arrived at the airport in his rental car.

State Police bomb squad units and explosive-detection K-9s carried out a full search of the vehicle and his personal belongings. No explosives were found, and investigators quickly cleared the man of any wrongdoing, confirming he was the victim of a malicious false report.

​Police learned the victim had been visiting Ayers when an argument the night before ended their relationship. Distraught over the breakup and his decision to fly home to Indiana, Ayers called in the fake bomb threat to stop him from leaving.

​When officers arrived at Ayers' Northwest Roswell residence for questioning, the situation escalated further. Police report that Ayers became confrontational.

Once the got her under control she was brought to the station, she remained combative, and ultimately had to be placed in a restraint device and helmet.

​Brooke Ayers was booked and faces multiple charges:

• Making a bomb scare
• Aggravated assault on a peace officer
• Battery upon a peace officer
• Resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer

I don't think it's a surprise why this guy got out of that relationship.
