We reside in a nation where the battle against corruption is often perceived as mere rhetoric, and the notion of reducing expenditures seems illusory.

While there are efforts to consolidate government agencies to reduce costs, there is a simultaneous increase in the number of ministers. Furthermore, although holiday celebrations may be curtailed, there is an increase in the allocation of funds for members of parliament's vehicle expenses.

Additionally, while the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) tax rate is elevated to 40%, it disproportionately affects the underpaid, while those who earn substantial sums are not subjected to equivalent scrutiny. Although certain sectors experience a reduction in irrelevant expenditures, there is a consistent increase in unclassified and supplementary budgets.
