The number is wrong for starters, Kenya’s project is $2B not $1.5B. It’s also an upgrade of JKIA, not a new airport (KAA’s own March 2026 tender confirms this). Ethiopia’s $12.5B airport will handle 110M passengers. Kenya’s targets 22M. Cheaper for 1/5th the scale isn’t a flex. And nobody’s complaining about the price tag in isolation ,they’re asking who got the contract and why. That’s a fair question, SC
