For the record, naming someone as NEXT OF KIN in employment records is meaningless in law … It is purely of sentimental value only …. The Law of Succession has its own process & the biggest beneficiary of a deceased spouse is the surviving spouse even if divorced as long as there was no DECREE ABSOLUTE.

So indicating someone as NEXT OF KIN is proof of filial loyalty. Nothing more. It is of no value in law.
