In a STATE VISIT, the visiting Head of State & First Lady arrive to a RED CARPET (literally a huge red carpet) from the plane to the Presidential Limousine. On hand to receive him will be the Host Head of State & First Lady. If the Host President isn’t there, a highest ranking member of Government receives & takes the visiting Head of State to White House/State House/Palace where the Host Head of State will be waiting. A Military Parade will be conducted where the two Heads of State meet first time: whether at airport or the STATE HOUSE. STATE DINNER with local trimmings of the visitor’s country is held same day or next day. The entire tour will be highly choreographed & will be with the Highest State Officers. The Head of State becomes highly honored guest of the Host Head of State. The visiting First Lady becomes a guest of the Host First Lady. Then BIG/HUGE BILATERAL AGREEMENTS are signed. I fully support & endorse President William Ruto visit to US but the razzmatazz, pomp & glamour of STATE VISIT are missing. All the meetings arranged so far are with US celebrities who can’t build factories or roads in Kenya. Did someone make false representations to our President? Something is amiss.
