@McKamyk lol speaking as a Harvard mba and Ivy League EE graduate I started on 55k for this exact reason as it was brutal. I was in an H1B sweatshop. I feel bad for me, for the Indians, and for everyone involved in this crap. Pure exploitation. In my sweatshop ratio Americans 1:30
@AdAgencyCFO@realEstateTrent Dude you’re lucky. I was some cohort in one of the technical programs. Worst experience of my life. Wish I had quit even in the recession.
@KaleyPorter17@DrRogerHugh This is some really stupid stuff. We give antibiotics for all sorts of ridiculous reasons . They don’t prescribe lyme because the science is wrong
@fredsoda This is stupid. I was Duke ECE and worked in tech and couldn’t get anywhere. Then I did 2 years at McKinsey and it changed my life. McKinsey is just. A ladder
Almost every single CPO in the Bay Area has MBB experience. Nearly every one
@a16z This is a stupid role. If you want to show your multi domain intelligence then be a PM, strategy lead, or investor. And is you want to be an engineer be a core eng. this role is a trick for young talent
@PonchatoYT@MartinSkold2 This is very true. I am close I think my IQ is around 143 or so. Tall white male rich family adhd. I was constantly held back .. teachers trying not to let me in advanced classes etc . Very frustrating .
@taobanker@MikeCox89697208 I’m an engineer that went to Harvard, and due to health I couldn’t do banking or consulting (or fell out of it) . Now I’m stuck in mid level hell and it’s the worst. I’d give my left leg to be at a real firm with competent interesting people and a bright future
@Politic2Radical@Duderichy I went to HBS. Like anywhere there’s a spread of talent but there are no dummies at HBS. This is pure cope. Most are in the top 1 or 2 percent of the population IQ wise
