Happy to share the content I created for the @theERAF for @born2engineer to bust the myths behind a career in engineering!

Heading home from a current bridge project I got to go over the forth Rail bridge and see two other bridges @Eadonnews has worked on. https://t.co/itwuTreI61 and numerous projects on the Forth road bridge gantries. https://t.co/Zysv9vcqWX #mydayengineering
Work tweet 😱! When last?? #MyDayEngineering thread to follow. All about the innards of what gets bolted on to telescopes that take starlight and turn it into pretty pictures.
Another lovely day of surfacing. This is the upper base layer, on Monday we lay the binder layer which is penultimate layer. Tuesday we have the second bridge deck pour, Saturday the diaphragms and Wednesday the parapet - all systems go! #civilengineering#mydayengineering
Happy #IWD2021 to all the female engineers out there. Working in a male dominated profession and trail blazing takes courage and resilience. Follow @WES1919 and @INWED1919 for stories on magnificent women.
6hrs in -2c, catching up after snow disruption. Tomorrow I go on to nights as we have a 500t crane lifting in bridge beams for the second half of the bridge. Still lots to do catch up on. Amazing scenery inbetween snow showers. -8 forecast tomorrow night! 😬🌨 #mydayengineering
If you have school age kids and nothing to do on Friday evening, buckle in and join me for a live Q&A on all things Mars Rovers! Or tell the kids to while you have a glass of wine. Your choice. 7pm!
First pour of the grey stuff for 2021 today! Only a tiny 50m3 and delayed because of last week's snow, but it all got done eventually. T-minus 1 month to bridge beams! 😬😬😬 #mydayengineering#bridges#civilengineering
Morning! First shift on the tools for 2021. Today I'm using the Leica TS16 to set out the pilecap for the bridge, working well through the fog and -1 temps, although fog is lifting. This pilecap doubles as the beam bearing shelf so accuracy needed for levels. #mydayengineering
Today is #ThisIsEngineeringDay. Civil engineering isn't just about building things; it's also operating, maintaining, and ultimately removing things - like this bridge over the M1 we demolished in 2016 @ThisIsEng#mydayengineering#TEweek20
Bit of festive Sunday engineering; helping my daughter design templates for a gingerbread house using orthographic sketching principles. The roof is sized for the baked wall thickness and a small overhang. #mydayengineering#stem#Christmas2020

Some days are better than others. Right now, I’m busy in @RacingPointF1 Towers with my awesome team working on an Aston Martin. Across the road but very audible is the screaming #F1 V8 of a @redbullracing RB8, a championship winning car I worked on. #mydayengineering#Motorsport
