@Paradoxaclese@gray_therapy Constantly fighting myself and judging myself just made me very thing worse and harder to climb out of the emotional whirling hole. (4/4)
@Paradoxaclese@gray_therapy I’m much healthier now and know when to rest before my depression or anxiety get too bad. This acceptance is what I understand DBT to be (3).
I’m here on this social media to share balanced info and for the other great people who share likewise and have kind comments. Discuss kindly. No need for trolls.
I got a notification that it’s my ‘not a criss-cross’-aversary. Ugh hating the new name and the dull black & white symbol. No creativity, doesn’t capture my interest at all. Bad name and advertising imo.
@AutisticCallum_ I have so much info in my head, and I always process many different angles, that my brain thinks and analyzed all the time! Takes more time to reply to certain questions.
@ashleyann_atx @gymmath2 I used to feel this too. With time and working on my psychological health, I finally believe that it’s about what the other person is capable of/busy/uninterested/preoccupied, etc. I have confidence in myself.
@AutisticCoach_ Books written by medical doctors that tell stories about things they have experienced while working, medical mystery books, fiction with neurodivergent characters, historical fiction, science articles, sci-fi & fantasy, books written for non-mds about medical stuff
@AranenZen@AutisticCoach_ Oh! I do relate to this. It’s a good description of what I’ve learned I do. (Only took 50yrs to start realizing and figuring this out).
@ashleyann_atx The need to systematize info and notes, schedules, lists, stuff, my thoughts. I see patterns and connections in things that others don’t. At times, I need longer to answer questions and may seem more specificity/parameters from the questioner, because I’m configuring info.
@Men15Angela@tugceaytes@NeuroRebel I get tinnitus and pressure irritation from earplugs and my upper ears (cuffs) hurt if I wear headphones too long. Indeed feels like one can’t win.
@Men15Angela@tugceaytes@NeuroRebel I cannot wear earplugs as they are uncomfortable and end up hurting. They can cause my tinnitus to amplify. Headphones are only ok for a while, then my upper ear lobes hurt from the pressure/weight. Can’t win.
@Ypatia_H@ashleyann_atx Exactly why I kept burning out at work. I didn’t feel safe enough to ask for help because the ‘let us know when you need guidance’ was just lip service. I saw problem starting long before anyone else. Then in the end was asked ‘how did I let this happen?!’ Gaslit!
