omg i swear sometimes it’s like trying to describe colour to a blind person. So frustrating.
It’s almost as if their narratives legitimately limit their world or something
i wonder though: how do you deal with this wrt reframing? What does it take to reframe something?
I don’t necessarily think you should reframe something *FOR* someone because who’s to say that your frame deserves more authority than theirs? It’s quite tough to reframe something for yourself let alone for someone else
But sometimes you really do need to at least demonstrate
When you’re in a weird mood, you should be allowed to add a disclaimer to all your tweets that you’re in a weird mood and the reader doesn’t need to take them seriously (I’m in a weird mood)
@inkolore_ I hate seeing touchscreens on everything because if the screen breaks then so does everything else (as opposed to buttons which DONT BREAK EVERYTHING).
@p_millerd Maybeee because the former’s thinking is abt the idea w/ little care for presentation while all the latter’s thinking goes into optimising for engagement and so they spend little to no time fleshing out the actual framework idk just speculation
of women as a whole when she isn’t & also i think treating half the human population as monolithic is wrong irrespective of what constitutes said half
maybe these traits don’t follow a gaussian distribution but i’m more confident in the belief that they vary, basically
1) modelling women as fragile babies who cannot ever be made uncomfortable is anti-feminist. Women are grown autonomous adults and can make their own decisions.
2) the internet locks people up in their comfort zones which confuses something like leaving the house for a threat
i hate it so much when women are like "men! you must never do x bc it makes me uncomfortable and i am the representative for all women"
like jesus fuck maybe you want to be treated like a child but you dont speak for me!
i wouldnt mind so much if these women were consistent and just admitted that they think women should be treated like glass but somehow in 2026 it's the """feminist""" position to be like "men should never make eye contact with an unaccompanied woman bc it could frighten them"
maybe these women should consider wearing burqas instead of trying to persuade the nicest men to stop interacting with women entirely
Additionally i think the whole frame is just wrong because i think it’s more likely that these traits (anxiety/neuroticism/being easily frightened) exist on a gaussian distribution as opposed to being fixed across the population so a woman might assume she’s representative
