@MrSimonBennett We tend to put our oil heating on in bursts rather than on all the time only If it feels cold. It never really gets cold with little to no snow. Being coastal the humidity is always high 70%+ indoors. (Inadequate heating and ventilation) An A2A is also a lot cheaper.
You've got to love all #Heathrowfire conspiracies Nah, it's not that unusual for transformers to short out. Many reasons but most likely bushings leak, failure or arcing etc. #HeathrowAirport
@OctopusEnergy How about Air 2 Air heat pumps ? Cheaper and a bonus of AC in the summer. Of course a Heat pump cylinder or small <15L 'sadia' under sink for hot water and electric shower.
@glynhudson Indeed, I saw your other posting. I would guess around 1.5-2Kw adding up the vans loads AC, heating, power steering, lights etc (unless anything is 400V of course). Do you know if they have a heat pump or resistive heating?. I think the battery pack is liquid cooled.
@glynhudson Thanks Glyn, I was thinking also of using an inverter ~2kw to power stuff in the van and use it as a V2H charging from solar and the GO tariff, 90% we use less than 2kw. But the van needs to fooled into turning on it's DC-DC all the time. I'll let you know what I find out.
