This is what Ukraine's former nuclear shield looked like, which it gave up in exchange for security guarantees - for free, with nothing in return.

And now one of the "security guarantors" is waging a full-scale war against Ukraine, while the other is demanding that it hand over territory and natural resources in exchange for further "security guarantees".

Let’s think about this.

According to most recent data, there is 7-8 million individuals in the world with a net fortune about 5M USD. 1,5 of those is US citizens. So we are down to 5,5-6 m potentials.

If we assume that those who wanted to move, would also want a house to live in when they move in, and some food to eat, - they are not going to spend every single dime to move to US, I think its safe to say that most people are not willing to trade more than half of the entire wealth just to get to work in another country. Max.

Consequently, the number of people who have a fortune of 10m USD is 15% of the 5M USD bracket. This means we are down to 900.000 potentials. Maximum.

So even if every single potential in the world wanted to hand over half of their wealth just to get to work in the United State, the total number is less than 1 million.

This just shows that the current administration just makes up numbers.

@gmiller This weakness by EU sucks. It is bad. But don't throw rocks from a glass mountain. US has to deal with school or mass shootings on a regular basis. Way more fatalities that by the terrorists in EU. That's not including parts of cities like Chiraq or East St Louis
