Keep shrubbery around entrances and walkways trimmed. The last thing you want is to make it easier for a thief to hide when attempting to break in, so eliminate his options for hiding spots.

The best way to protect your home from the outside is to survey it with the eyes of a burglar. If you can easily tell that a window could be pried open, a thief will definitely be able to come to the same conclusion.

A friend who just got burgled was told by the Woodstock SAPS that she can't officially report it because they're not issuing case numbers & they can't charge anyone because courts aren't accepting new cases. Can @SAPoliceService and @GenBheki_Cele confirm if this is policy?

[Sarah Rice @ricegirl2]

At the police station to report a burglary at my home and been told that I cant report till after Lockdown as no case numbers will be given?!? Is SAPS hoping criminals are also respecting this slow down in enforcement?!? Wtaf.

Our home alarm triggered, via a motion sensor, at 11.30pm last night....

Thankfully @MySentian, a cat and a gecko sent us a much needed moment of comic relief...
