PAD :Parents Of Adult Children With Disabilities Advocacy and Support Group #MyVoteCounts:Canadian Federal & Ont.Provincial voting campaign for disabilities
Thank you Gregory for reminding all of us that every vote counts — especially persons with disabilities.
I’ve had the honour to work alongside many PWDs, parents, families and advocacy groups to create a better Ontario.
A NDP government will ensure no one is left behind. 🧡
@LGretzky Thank you @LGretzky for advocating NON STOP for ODSP, you have been the loudest voice for many years. Our groups PAD and #MyVoteCounts appreciate everything you do. This is great news for the Ontario Disability Community !
Looking @ you Ontario government 👀
Record of Ford PC government & the Liberals before them:
🏘️20+ year waitlist for supportive community housing & 📈
🏥Adults w DDs locked in psychiatric intensive care units for years due to no individual funding for placement & housing waitlist
Ontarian’s with developmental disabilities are at high risk and still waiting for their covid vaccines! why? @ToddSmithPC @fordnation@LGretzky https://t.co/UUUgIsx70B
@MyVoteCounts5 @ToddSmithPC @fordnation@AndreaHorwath@LGretzky@theJagmeetSingh@CBCTheNational Since November Passport is averaging 8 weeks for reimbursements for my daughter. Not to mention if an expense is questionable, they hold up entire reimbursement and do not tell you. Neither does local office. We have to call to ask. Then everything waits until it’s sorted.
Here's another complaint about not being paid, months behind, unanswered calls #passport1#jeffburtch#DougFord
We need to pay our workers that work with our disabled adults.
Get it done!!
Ontario’s vulnerable &high risk disabled are still waiting for their first dose of a Covid vaccine and passport funding is months behind. The lack of empathy and compassion is alarming. @ToddSmithPC @fordnation@AndreaHorwath@LGretzky@theJagmeetSingh@CBCTheNational
2/2 There are residents in group homes across the province, Windsor included, where residents have been denied meaningful access to their essential caregivers/families for months on end. Ford’s self interest & lack of awareness or compassion for these families is astounding.
1/2 So let me get this straight, Ford & Dunlop,non-essential visitors are safe to enter for photo op but truly essential caregivers/families, are a huge risk & are locked out? Photo op is more important than the emotional, mental & physical well being of the residents? #onpoli
This is my son Gregory who has severe Autism. Since the age of two Gregory reacts to Steve Irwin videos like this. Thank you Steve for giving my son years of happiness and RIP ♥️@TerriIrwin@BindiIrwin@RobertIrwin Gregory thinks Steve is the bomb! ♥️♥️♥️
4/4 Bill 203, #Morethanavisitor Act would ensure safe, consistent, meaningful access between congregate care residents & their designated caregivers at all times, in any circumstance. Ford gov has the power to pass my bill immediately. Let's do it!
3/4 Make no mistake about it, it is the work of all the families & experts involved in drafting my bill, along with advocates, that pushed the Ford gov to finally put out guidance, but our work is not done. We must have legislated directives!
