@sweatystartup This can't be true. I have never read the biography of a successful person and ever come across anything like this. Building a successful business is hard and if you're not working 60+ hours a week you're an idiot.
@jasonc_nc@2x4caster@mikesimonsen Absolutely not. What it means, is the conditions that precede a panic are similar throughout time, but the catalyst changes and that's what makes it hard to predict. Howard Marks says "you can't time the market, but you better damn well know where we are in the cycle"
@2x4caster@jasonc_nc@mikesimonsen You don't look for it to repeat, you look for it to rhyme because the catalyst is usually unknown. Pessimism doesn't normally win, but you have to know where you are in the market cycle and adjust accordingly.
@ronmortgageguy@ETRdotTVRon Moses Kagan said it best (not sure if originally him) "we need people to own homes because we need them invested in the future of this country" @moseskagan
@ronmortgageguy@ETRdotTVRon The issue is financial markets are effed up. These large companies are finding value in inefficiencies created directly & indirectly by all levels of government. Remove excess liquidity, any backing of tbtf corps & complex bureaucratic red tape & the playing field woukd level out
@LawrenceLepard@Sorenthek Why do MMT people always avoid talking about psychology. They write their ideas in a vacuum. It's like putting a car on a treadmill to calculate gas mileage.
@Kevin1138159@pubity Terrible idea. "Too many" is totally subjective. Once you imply too many, the only natural response is to get the number to zero. And steps required there lead to your next sentence.
