i find it hilarious that after decades of squeezing every last drop of blood out of the middle class, now capitalists are complaining that not enough people are eating at restaurants, taking trips, using airlines, or buying crap from box stores.
So tired of this question. The rich already own everything, they have everything they need, they no longer need us. THEY NO LONGER NEED US. They don't need a working economy. THEY WON. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING. They will step over your dead body on the way to the golf course.
There's a reason every villain in a Bond movie is a megalomaniac billionaire.
They're the peak of human selfishness & rotten to the core.
Stop idolizing them.
Y’all need to stop saying billionaires create jobs. With or without billionaires, we'd still build, design, teach, sell, and buy things. Billionaires just hoard the profits.
my husband was today years old when I told him that every horse they use in movies is female because giant horse penis flopping around would be insanely distracting to the audience
employers should be legally required to include salaries in every job listing. no exceptions. it’s ridiculous to spend weeks interviewing for a job only to find out at the end that the pay isn’t even worth it. salary transparency should be the bare minimum.
You REDUCE crime by eliminating POVERTY. The reason so called nice neighborhoods have lower crime rates is because people’s basic needs are being met. It is not because of police, alarm systems, or neighborhood associations. Poverty creates crime.
We need to talk more about what Gen X and older millennials have been through financially. They survived the 2008 recession, spent years rebuilding, got hit by a pandemic, and then watched housing, groceries, insurance, and everyday expenses become increasingly unaffordable. Now it’s 2026, and people in their 40s and 50s are trying to save for retirement while still catching up on financial milestones they expected to reach a decade ago. At some point, we have to acknowledge that an entire generation has spent much of its adult life recovering from one economic crisis after another.
Yes, in fact, I do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That’s kind of the whole point of having a job and I can’t believe this is considered a radical position for me to take.
Universal basic income doesn't just cover us between jobs. It gives us the freedom to relocate, grieve, care give, have kids, create, start businesses, be ill or disabled, and to rest.
I don't want my coffee machine on Wi-Fi. I don't want an app for my car, a QR code for my menu, Al customer service, or Google Al Overviews. I just want to buy something once, have it work, speak to a human if I need help, and be left alone. Is that too much to ask?
Yes, actually, I do think my tax dollars should be used for people who can't afford their food, shelter or medical care. NOT for bombıng babies and peddling to a pedophiłes ego.
