Today, I am remembering Mother Viola Fletcher on her first heavenly birthday.

As the oldest living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, she carried truth, memory, and moral witness across generations. She passed away in November at 111, and today she would have been 112.

I remain grateful for the opportunity to have shared space with her. May we continue to honor her life by telling the truth, preserving the history, and refusing to forget.
