Final film of 2024 was #Conclave which I wasn't sure about, but had heard good things. Ralph Fiennes puts in a top performance, but the film was too long for me and the score was overbearing. A 3/5 for me. #BGfilms2024

Finally onboard for LHR to WAW in what has undoubtedly been a challenging day for the @HeathrowAirport and @British_Airways teams. Here's hoping we take off and there is some beer onboard!

Film no. 41 was Disney's Moana 2. I really enjoyed Moana, so had high expectations that were not met. I did giggle plenty throughout M2, but there were no real laugh-out-loud moments and the songs are disappointing. The best song is one from the original. Sadly 3/5. #BGfilms2024

Film no. 40 was the @BFI's new 4K restoration of Point Break (1991). Still a great action movie, with some fun one-liners thrown in, that never stops from the opening scene. An all-time classic and still very much a 5/5 for me. #BGfilms2024

Film no. 39 was Wicked. Great to see it having seen the original The Wizard of Oz the week before. More engaging than I thought, but far too long and could have several minutes trimmed. Still, it sucked me in and I will see Part 2 next year. Just makes it to 4/5. #BGfilms2024

Film No. 38 was a special screening of The Wizard of Oz (1939). A film I'd seen in teh past, but not at the cinema and nor had my memory remembered quite how crazy it is. Still a cinematic marvel all these years on and great to see in the run up to Wicked. 4/5 #BGfilms2024

Film no. 37 was @redonemov, which has been released far too early for a Christmas film. Anyway, given the cast and a snazzy trailer, I had high expectations. They weren't met. Overlong, not that funny and I didn't love any of the characters. 2/5, just. #BGfilms2024

Aberdeen, lovely city & great to visit the home of @BrewDog at @BrewDogDogTap, amongst others. So many super bars & great beers. The hotdogs at @BrewDogAberdeen are wicked! Hope to visit again soon. Amazing sunshine too. So lucky.
