Today, Seattle sent a clear message by keeping the Egypt vs. the Islamic Republic game a Pride Match: human rights belong to everyone. No to Censorship and discrimination!
The Islamic Republic didn’t just want Pride flags banned. For more than 40 years, it has tried to silence every voice that challenged its rule, imprison those fighting for a free Iran, and erase the names of those it tortured, executed, or killed so the world would forget them.
During today’s match, we’ll share the stories of those prisoners and victims, because no regime should have the power to erase a person’s name or silence their voice.
