Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga today chaired the Joint Kenya–USG Health Cooperation Framework Steering Committee meeting at Afya House to review progress and the next phase of the implementation plan for the Kenya–USG Health Cooperation Framework 2026–2030.
The meeting brought together technical teams from the Ministry of Health, the United States Government and key stakeholders to assess ongoing implementation progress, strengthen coordination mechanisms and advance shared health sector priorities under the framework.
The engagements continue to reaffirm the strong partnership between Kenya and the United States in strengthening resilient health systems, improving health outcomes and accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage.

SCALING UP HIV PREVENTION SERVICES FOR KEY & VULNERABLE POPULATIONS
@HomaCounty Health Department convened a KVP stakeholder meeting to strengthen HIV prevention, with key discussions centered on KVP programming, peer-led service delivery, data management,& sustainability.
#NASCOP data shared through the CASCO, Dr. Stephen Obunga, guided in-depth discussions on the current status of KVP services amid ongoing donor transition & program restructuring. The engagement resulted in strategic deliberations, key resolutions, & agreed action points aimed.
Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga today held a consultative meeting at Afya House with members of the United States Government House Foreign Affairs Committee to advance implementation of the Kenya–United States Health Cooperation Framework signed in December 2025.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral health collaboration, including disease prevention and response, health systems strengthening, and other shared priorities under the framework.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of sustained partnership, transparency, accountability, and strategic investments in healthcare to improve service delivery and long-term health outcomes.
The U.S. delegation was led by Mr. Brandon Ramsay, Professional Staff Member, U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, and included Ms. Allison Cantrell, Dr. Sally Okutoyi from the U.S. Department of State – Office of Foreign Assistance, Ms. Leah Hasselback from the U.S. Embassy Nairobi, alongside senior Ministry of Health technical officials.
Head of @NASCOP, Dr. Andrew Mulwa, joined NEPHAK for The Partners Forum to reinforce partnerships, support for CLM & promote self-care initiatives for PLHIV in Kenya. Dr. Mulwa assured that AHD, paediatric HIV, & multisectoral approaches are part of the Common African Position.
