Adelaide kept the players and changed the voice.

Worth asking though, because the two come apart.

Eg:

Sydney and Melbourne both kept 6 men who played but

Sydney kept 53% of the minutes. Melbourne 32%.

1. Adelaide 36ers 23-10
2. Melbourne United 21-12
3. South East Melbourne Phoenix 22-11
4. Perth Wildcats 19-14
5. Sydney Kings 18-15
6. Brisbane Bullets 17-16
7. Tasmania JackJumpers 16-17
8. Illawarra Hawks 11-22
9. Cairns Taipans 9-24
10. New Zealand Breakers 8-25

No matter how many times I go over it I can make a case for this to look totally different.

The only team I feel 'certain' about is Adelaide.

I'm worried about Melbourne staying healthy.

SEM could have a Sobey implosion with Mays.

Perth... the PG fit...

Sydney, hard to write off but I think they are weaker than last year by a stretch.

Brisbane a total Wildcard but could steal some big scalps if the imports fire and they stay healthy

Tassie - you know the story there.

Hawks - I dont see it.. the PG rotations and run the team by committee but Milt will want a bounce back season.

Cairns - have more horses than ever but I now consider Fordey a development of individuals with a lot left to prove.

Annnnd NZ... well, they need a lot for DJ and Noi... does the defence stack... I say no.

Does roster continuity win games?

The least settled quarter of the league won 45% of their games and zero titles.

The most settled quarter won 53%.

Four titles.

So it helps…

grants about two wins a season.

But three of the last ten champions ranked in the bottom half.

Sydney did it twice.

You cant gut a roster and win.

You dont have to keep one either.

Chris Anstey on Bryce Cotton joining Trevor Gleeson at Adelaide…

"the ability to get Bryce off the ball, running him off flex cuts, down screens"

The record agrees with him.

Under Gleeson at Perth, 37% of Cotton's baskets came off a teammate's pass.

Across every season since, 33%.

Still early to say whether Adelaide runs it back.
