Last week, I also visited North Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers currently mobilized in eastern Europe.
The visit provided a chance to assess unit readiness, discuss ongoing operations, and most importantly, ensure our Soldiers are supported and taken care of…
and strengthening international partnerships.
It was also a privilege to meet with the President of Moldova, members of Parliament, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, and our counterparts in the Moldovan National Army.
This week, I was honored to visit our partners in Chisinau, Moldova alongside
@NCSecState Elaine Marshall and a distinguished delegation from the
@NCAgriculture and @NCState.
Our visit focused on two agricultural extension programs…
They also deployed personnel to local Emergency Operations Centers in Lenoir and Onslo counties and conducted recovery operations along highway 587, covering 480 miles of recon through the area.
Excellent visit today to Eastern Branch. Over the last 24 hours in response to the winter storm, Eastern Branch was responsible for vehicle recovery missions in Pitt County.

Yesterday, Secretary Elaine Marshall, @NCSecState, and I welcomed back Igor Grosu, the Speaker of Parliament, and the Moldovan delegation and continued conversations on ways to strengthen our partnership as we approach 30 years with Moldova.
