A week ago, I hit publish.
Our mini-doc went live and I honestly didn't know what would happen. You pour months into something, refining every frame, debating every cut, and then you just have to let it go.
The response has been overwhelming. Messages from founders, calls from policymakers, and opportunities I hadn't imagined.
But more than anything, it's shown me something I've known in my gut for a while: we're at an inflection point.
Engaging policymakers isn't optional anymore.
Educating elected officials about AI, blockchain, crypto, and energy isn't lobbying. It's citizenship. It's stewardship.
I've learned that when you show up in person, genuinely and with patience, it matters more than perfect pitches. Sharing personal experiences and stories humanizes technology that most people either don't know about or fear. That's how buy-in happens.
When we treat these conversations as collaboration, the policy we shape expands opportunity for everyone. Not just for the companies we build, but for every American who wants to participate in the digital economy.
Three months ago, I sat across from a state legislator who asked me to explain blockchain like they were five years old. No lobbying, no agenda. Just curiosity. Two weeks later, I was in a congressional office having the same conversation about AI and energy infrastructure. The questions were genuine. Hungry, even.
There's a new generation of leadership taking office. From city councils to Capitol Hill. They understand the future isn't something to regulate out of fear but something to build with intention. They want to understand why this technology matters before they write the rules.
Every founder in this space has the same opportunity: to be a teacher, not just a builder.
This is the work I'm bullish on. Telling the story of our digital economy across government and tech. That's where I'll invest my time and energy.
The future we're building deserves leaders who understand it. The new class of leadership is listening.
North Carolina's digital future is brighter than ever. We have the talent, the infrastructure, and the leadership willing to lean in.
🇺🇸 U.S. Government now owns more #bitcoin than any single entity other than Michael @Saylor’s @Strategy.

Tomorrow, it finally goes live.
Six months of producing a story I couldn't fully explain until I saw it all the way through.
This is the first time anyone's put all the pieces together on the record.
The invisible story, made visible.
Like the four-minute mile. Impossible until someone runs it.
Thank you to God and everyone who made this amazing project possible.

A Now Media Original Documentary
🌎 Global Premiere • Sept. 30 • 2PM EST
I've been reporting on how North Carolina has quietly positioned itself as America's digital infrastructure leader.
But how did NC get here?
To find out, I spent time with former Lt. Governor Dan Forest at one of his firm's projects.
Forest was one of the policy architects behind North Carolina's digital foundations.
His vision: AI, blockchain, and nuclear aren't just emerging tech. They're the blueprints for the state's economic future.
Full story is now live on @nowmedia 👇
The digital economy has a secret.
While Silicon Valley grabs headlines, the real revolution is happening somewhere else entirely.
Nuclear. AI. Blockchain. Data centers. Mining operations.
One state saw the future coming and built the foundation while everyone else was still talking.
Smart energy. Smart policy. Smart investments.
This is the untold story of America's digital backbone.
🎬Full documentary coming soon.
It’s done.
After six months of pre-production, production, and post-production, we now have a final cut of our North Carolina Digital Leader mini-doc for @nowmedia.
This one means a lot to me.
We set out to tell a story bigger than ourselves: that North Carolina is the backbone of America’s digital economy.
Before publishing the full episode, I want to thank God and everyone who stood with us:
→ @DanSpuller, @TheCoinDad, and @sapiente77 @TheDiMeglioShow for believing in North Carolina’s digital future.
→ @RepPatHarrigan, @RepTimMooreNC, and @RepMcDowell for working relentlessly at the federal level.
→ @brad_briner, @mikefor35@RepSteveRoss, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest, and all who supported along the way.
A special shout out to Fitzroy, the man behind camera who took a shot when this was just an idea.
This is more than a film, it’s a statement.
This is for North Carolina.
Here is the trailer. Full doc coming soon.
America's digital future depends on leaders who get both the tech AND the policy.
@RepTimMooreNC isn't your typical freshman.
As NC's longest-serving Speaker, he's already proven he can turn vision into legislation.
In our conversation, he broke down his blueprint for
America's digital economy:
→ Energy expansion
→ Pro-crypto / pro- business legislation
→ Tech and workforce development
What stood out most was his calm confidence.
He speaks with the clarity of someone who has written the laws, built the coalitions, and seen firsthand how policy becomes prosperity.

@AlejNavia@RepPatHarrigan Grateful for Congressman Harrigan's leadership championing American innovation in crypto and AI.
North Carolina is proud to have a forward-thinking ally fighting for our tech future!
China is making a play for global AI dominance. Three North Carolina congressmen have a different plan.
Their goal: secure America’s digital future.
I spent months in DC and across NC with these leaders to uncover their strategy:
→ @RepPatHarrigan (Armed Services Cmte): The Special Forces veteran is prioritizing defense spending toward AI, Drones, and Nuclear Energy to create a smarter, more agile military.
→ @RepTimMooreNC (Financial Services Cmte): The former NC House Speaker is co-sponsoring legislation to make America the leader in digital assets and cryptocurrency.
→@RepMcDowell (Natural Resources Cmte): The youngest of the group is streamlining energy permitting to power the massive data centers our digital dominance requires.
By strategically crafting policy that establishes the fundamental infrastructure for AI, finance, and energy, they are forging North Carolina into America’s digital backbone.
My full story for @nowmedia on how these 3 Congressmen from NC are architecting America’s digital future is live.
America's digital economy will be built on two foundations: nuclear energy and data centers.
Together, they power the defining technologies of this century, AI and crypto.
@RepPatHarrigan gets this better than most.
He isn’t just talking about it. He’s building it.
In our recent interview, he shares a clear strategy to secure America's tech dominance:
→ Defense modernization
→ Energy independence
→ Public-private partnerships
What struck me most? Two things.
First: He's incredibly intelligent. Deep, expansive knowledge. Zero arrogance.
Second: No matter how late Congress runs, he never misses his nightly call to his wife and daughters.

Every time I take on a political project, I start with the same ritual:
I visit the Lincoln Memorial.
For 11 years it’s kept me grounded. Reminding me that democracy has a price, leadership means sacrifice, and we stand on the shoulders of giants.
Later this week I’m launching a mini doc on the work I’ve been building these past few months.
Felt right to share a piece of my process with you ahead of the premiere.
This is the most important story in tech no one is telling.
Until now.
North Carolina is becoming the backbone of America’s digital economy.
What started as curiosity has become a mission: uncovering North Carolina’s digital dominance and its role in America’s future.
Today, after 3 months of reporting, we launch The Tar Heel Chain a multi-week investigation into the state shaping America’s digital future.
Editorials, docs, podcasts, and exclusive interviews with the leaders making it happen.

The more I dive into North Carolina, the more convinced I am that this state will:
⚡ Become the leading player in energy + natural resources for the digital economy
🇺🇸 A member of its congressional delegation will be President in our lifetime
🪖 Blossom into a defense powerhouse—already home to the largest concentration of military bases
🏗️ Build deeper ties with Silicon Valley to power and elevate AI/SaaS through infrastructure + manufacturing
☢️ Within the next decade, SMR nuclear will anchor its energy grid
North Carolina isn’t the next Silicon Valley.
It’s the state that will power it.
After six months on the ground, we’re putting the finishing touches on our upcoming In The Flow series.
One truth is clear: the race for digital dominance won’t be won in Silicon Valley.
It will be won in North Carolina.
Data centers. Semiconductors. AI. Nuclear. Blockchain.
All converging here faster than anywhere else in America.
This journey has been eye-opening at the intersection of tech and policy.
it’s made me fall in love with North Carolina in a whole new way.
Those who see it now will be ahead of the curve.
