Currently only 1% of refugee families in need of resettlement are actually relocated. We're a group of average joes trying to raise money for our community sponsorship group, a govt initiative which enables resettle a displaced family in addition to this 1%. See link in bio

To gain approval for our application, we need to fundraise 9k to prove that we have the funds to support the family when they arrive. This will pay for basic daily essentials like clothes, furniture and interpreters #sponsorrefugee
