I appreciate the visibility but please ask before you repost my content. He didn't even mention my game or that it's from my educational tiktok account...
Horrible feeling when my game is struggling with visibility
Finally managed to cross 10 reviews today. Hope things pick up from here. People found bugs, still enjoyed what was there and didn't leave a negative review. So glad they gave me a chance to fix things and update the game.
For small teams on Steam, every review is do or die.
Under 10 reviews, Steam doesn't even generate a score. The game is invisible.
Half the games released on Steam last year never crossed that threshold.
Only 1 in 40 players leaves a review. A tiny game needs 400 sales just to reach 10.
If a small game gave you a good few hours, write a review! Even a short one.
Above 10, the algorithm starts showing the game to other people. Below 10, nobody ever sees it.
That's the whole game.
