Earth-directed CME! Here is an early NASA M2M model for the M9.3 flare yesterday. There is also an eruption from the recent X1 to model. The bulk of the solar storm may go north of us, but this is a solid hit. Arrival time is June 4th at around 22 UT +/- 7h.
It’s so bizarre how across the insanely active 2023-2025 seasons I saw one tornado for 10 seconds buried in rain and that was it. Then in the very inactive 2026 season I’ve seen at least 6 tornadoes. This is a strange hobby.
I’ll contribute my bad chaser driving experience to the sea of videos. Dude kept slowing down, almost stopping, speeding back up, suddenly swerving, driving in the middle of the road.
@BryceShelton01 We were sliding down a mud road today with another chaser behind us sliding as well. For some reason they decided tailgating us after was a still a good idea with more muddy hills to fight through.
Some lady came up to us and said she’d never chased before. Today she was trying for the FIRST TIME. She asked if we were streaming so she could follow us. We promptly told her not to follow anyone. I hope she’ll be safe. Don’t do this folks. Don’t follow chasers. LEARN.
@landon_wx Yeah I think this one gets a similar effect. Good stuff, you grabbed better focus than I could with the low contrast. (This is obviously char-broiled)
@Meso1Gabe I’ve been chasing the same amount of time and haven’t gotten much recognition either. But I still go out, I tweet my stuff, do the usual things. The social media clout isn’t worth it imo. Do it for the love of the storms. If others take notice that’s a bonus.
