As excited as I am to see AJ Brown in New England with Drake Maye throwing him the ball, I might be even more excited for the delusional low IQ slop takes coming out of Philly to stop.
I know everyone is ready to run him out of town for a late round pick but at his modest cap hit I’d rather keep him. I love adding AJ and Doubs but AJ’s knee is a legit concern and Doubs wears that Guardian Cap for a reason. Super Bowl winning teams typically have depth.
Some names I’d like to see the Patriots take on Day 3:
Zakee Wheatley
VJ Payne
Jermod McCoy
Cyrus Allen
Lewis Bond
John Michael-Gyllenborg
Harold Perkins Jr
Kyle Louis
Isaiah World
Logan Taylor
Jude Bowry
Kage Kasey
Adam Randall
Kaleb Proctor
Dani Dennis-Sutton
George Gumbs
The Patriots new OT Caleb Lomu -- arguably best in show through combine drill work.
He also posted a stratospheric 9.88 RAS.
Long clip from Cutcall's Combine Risers segment on the OL group.
Eli Stowers moves more like a WR than a TE.
Needs some work as a blocker but remember, he’s a former QB who only recently converted to TE. He’s a walking mismatch with plenty of untapped potential… and @PhilAPerry says the Patriots love him.
As much as I have my preferences as to what positions to target and where in the draft to do it, at the end of the day I’m just happy to land good players at whatever position. After the last 10+ years of mostly bad drafts w very questionable choices just get me guys who can play
