Tomorrow comrades of AIPNBOF will be on strike for 5 days of banking week on behalf of around 20 lakhs work force associated with the banking industry.
For the last 10 years bankers have been waiting for all Saturday holidays in the banking industry like other financial sector employees and government of India employees.
They came very close to achieving that on 08/03/24 by signing 12 th bipartite and 9 th joint note which recommended 5 days banking week for government of India acceptance and implementation but since than today it is exactly 19 months there is total defeaning silence from government of India on this all important demand of bankers.
UFBU which has signed above mentioned two documents gave strike call in the month of March 25 for various demands including 5 days banking week deferred the strike in the last moment despite our insistence on going for that strike .since then no forward action on this issue .
Hence we are compelled to go on this solo strike for this demand .we owe this to our comrades who have been asking us what we are doing for their work life balance which has gone for a toss due to increased work pressure due to unrealistic business targets, long working hours extended to night ,work on holidays,denial of leave ,ever increasing government sponsered schemes delivery through banks ,shrinking or stagnant work force , unprofessional and uncouth top management and every angry and always in a hurry customers whose expectations for service are always sky high .
This strike of ours is our tribute to those long list of bankers who have lost life through suicide or various disease due to stressful and toxic working environment in banking industry due to imbalance in life and work .
All Saturday holidays will facilitate additional 28 holidays in a year for bankers which will make their life a bet better than what it is today .
Now over to our comrades to make this strike a resounding success by ensuring their 100 pc participation.
We request all other bankers who are not members of AIPNBOF to extend their support and participation in this strike in which ever way they can .
It is the time to unite and fight for a cause which is close to the heart of every bankers and which will benefit every bankers once we win this battle.

So now over to you all to due your ahauti in this mission some by sacrificing their salary some others by their leave ( for those who are not in AIPNBOF) .
