Our board secretary Virginie Dourlet with Dame Valerie Adams at the Tonga premiere of Briar March’s documentary MORE THAN GOLD
Such a great and important story to share: Valerie is indeed much more than gold
It’s always good to see Tongan stories on a big screen, here at home 🇹🇴
I’ve seen a bit of misguided info from concerned Pākehā regarding Taika’s tattoos & OFMD art/cosplay
unless he says otherwise, You can include Taika’s tattoos into your art (respectfully ofc)
As for a BlackBeard cosplay, Non Māori can use any EXCEPT these three pictured below

@watisoni Thanks for your feedback!
We here are not responsible for the subtitling but you bring up a very important point! It’s important to make the dialogues accessible to all. Thanks again
💯Excellent work and story telling🙏🏾. I would ♥️ to see more Pacific stories produced in the same manner, keeping it authentic as much as possible. Perhaps as a note for improvement is to have subtitles stand out clearly; I struggled a bit with some text blending into backgrnd.🙏🏾
This is a very special short movie for us. But only is it a *great* Tongan short movie, it’s also what gave us our main push to get the Nuku’alofa Film Festival started. 😌
