Doctors found a blood clot in Jalen Hurts' calf the day before the London game and reportedly told him not to sleep.

He was ~36 hours awake at kickoff. Still started. Still threw for 220 and a TD.

How many QBs suit up in that spot? Be honest.

How committed is Jalen Hurts to football? After initially being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London, doctors told him not to sleep as a precaution, so he had been awake for roughly 36 hours when he started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.

A lot of jokes have been made about the NFC East going winless this past weekend, especially with two division rivals playing each other so it got me wondering: Has an entire division ever gone winless in a week when two of its teams faced each other?

I went back to 2000 and found two examples:

📅 2022 Week 1: AFC South
● Colts tied the Texans, 20-20
● Jaguars lost to the Commanders
● Titans lost to the Giants

📅 2016 Week 7: NFC West
● Cardinals tied the Seahawks, 6-6
● Rams lost to the Giants
● 49ers lost to the Buccaneers

So yes, last weekend is the 3rd time it has ever happened in the last 25 years.

And how did those division end up? 

📊 The 2022 AFC South
● Jaguars won the division at 9-8.
● Two teams finished with four wins or fewer.

📊 The 2016 NFC West
● Seahawks won the division at 10-5-1.
● Two teams finished with four wins or fewer.

🔮 What does this mean for the NFC East?

If history repeats itself, we could be looking at a division winner finishing somewhere in the 9–10-win range, while two of the other three teams struggle to reach even five wins.

Among the 49 defenders that have faced at least 23 targets in coverage, Eagles DB Quinyon Mitchell ranks 2nd in the NFL in passer rating allowed (58.2) behind only Byron Murphy (MIN).

Mitchell is also giving up just 1.5 yds after the catch per reception — best in football among the 80 players that have faced at least 20 tgts.

The NFL is seriously considering flexing Jaguars vs. Colts into Sunday Night Football for Week 8.

If the Eagles lose to the Panthers, there’s a high likelihood they will be flexed out of primetime.

Indianapolis faces the Titans this week, while Jacksonville plays the Texans.

ESPN Analytics gives the Cowboys a 63% chance at winning the NFC East. They are one of four teams with a better than 60% chance of winning the division. San Francisco (89%), Jacksonville (87%) and Kansas City (79%) are the others. They have combined for just three losses; the Cowboys are 2-3.

@Novig Not that crazy. The Hurricanes have played more games in Philly this month than the Phillies and Eagles combined (1 between the two of them). Basically this is a post saying that the Flyers have been terrible which we already knew. (They've also only had 3 games at home)
