@Joanna__Hardy Disingenuous. Jenrick is highlighting that the man’s politics are likely biased against the British state given the amount of time he’s spent serving the interest of enemies of Britain. Someone like that shouldn’t be attorney general, whether they’re a good barrister or not
@TedUrchin This is the arrogant attitude of the left that will lead to an inevitable reform government. The working class want less immigration, it’s that simple.
@bottomley50 Your failure to grasp that the number 1 issue for people across the developed world, high immigration, could possibly be an important issue to voters, is as hilarious as it is pathetic
@onb3thnlgrn “It doesn’t effect your personally so it doesn’t matter” always this, you can’t understand that people care about the state of their own society in general?
@thatbloodyMikey He defines men v women not by inherent defining characteristics, but by how violent they are? Interesting to think about how rapidly distopian that could get. Your position is ludicrous
@JohannaSaunders It’s probably just the fact that the huge majority of Brit’s feel immigration is too high and have done for decades, and that every single government since 1997 has increased it anyway? Failing to admit or address that fact is what’s going to lead to a reform government
@NicholasTyrone How do you explain that services were better performing with less funding 20 years ago if not for efficiencies? Are you saying the concept of efficiency is illogical? Sounds like complete nonsense. Spend a year working in public services in this country I beg you
@Pipolinna@CreativeDeduct@BarristerSecret You’re making a huge fool of yourself. Jenrick isn’t saying Lord Hermer shouldn’t be a Barrister. He’s saying Hermer has obvious biases against the British state, and so shouldn’t be appointed the Attorney General of the UK, a political position with extraordinary power.
@CreativeDeduct@BarristerSecret Correct, secret barrister would presumably be outraged if the attorney general had a comparable list of extreme right wing clients like the KKK and neo Nazi gangs.
@BarristerSecret So you’d have no quarrels if the UK had an attorney general who had spend a large part of their career representing the interests of neo Nazi groups across Europe, the KKK and Putin allies? Be serious
@AdamBienkov You’re being disingenuous. Jenrick is clearly talking about the parties WITHIN those countries (and this one) who are manipulating fashionable grievances to damage Britain, and not the countries as a whole.
