Okay so @Trainwreckstv really pioneered this wave and is single handedly the reason why gambling streamers and this entire ecosystem thrives today. Put some respect on his name.

This argument basically boils down to “people see gambling wins and want to gamble.”

No shit.

That’s been true since casinos were invented.

Train literally tells people not to gamble. He talks about losing. He talks about addiction. He talks about how brutal gambling is. If someone watches all of that, ignores it, gambles anyway, and loses their money, whose fault is that?

At some point adults have to take responsibility for their own decisions.

The idea that a 60 second clip completely overrides personal accountability is ridiculous. By that logic we should blame every sports highlight for people betting, every luxury influencer for people overspending, and every fitness influencer for people buying supplements they can’t afford.

It’s entertainment.

You can dislike gambling content. You can think gambling streams shouldn’t exist. That’s a fair opinion.

But acting like Train is some uniquely evil figure because people clip his biggest wins is nonsense. He’s probably spent more hours publicly discussing the downsides of gambling than 99% of creators in the space.

The truth is a lot less dramatic: people enjoy watching high stakes gambling. They always have. They always will.

If Train never existed, gambling streaming in all its current glory would cease to exist. The space would just be dominated by affiliate marketers who are far less transparent about how they make money.
