Adaptation means justice. The Global North has a historic responsibility for the crisis, yet Africa faces the harshest impacts.

To secure a just and resilient future, experts suggest these key guiding principles:
✅ Social Justice & Equity
✅ Women, youth & marginalised groups must be included
✅ The Global North must acknowledge its role and increase support
✅ True resilience requires transforming unjust structures and mindsets
✅ Countries must double adaptation finance
✅ Support community-led solutions, land rights, & traditional knowledge
✅ Sustainable, people-centred policies are key to resilience
✅ Proactive, systemic change is needed, not just incremental fixes
✅ A fair low-carbon transition must include adaptation efforts
✅ The world must recognise and address Africa’s distinct adaptation needs.
