The first week back after break students set reading resolutions for themselves. We discussed setting a SMART goal that was specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely. #bookinbroncos#neisdlibs#elementarylibrarian@NorthernHillsES
Teachers, to start off 2022, I'm offering two free 30-minute virtual appearances. I can talk about writing, share a preview of I Survived in progress, or whatever you would like. No limit to the number of students, can do grades 3-8. RT to enter. I will notify winners 1/10.
During Hispanic Heritage Month, I read Ada’s Violin to our 4th and 5th grade students. We watched a 20/20 segment on the Recycled Orchestra and completed the Discovery Ed “Tweet Tweet” strategy to summarize what we learned. @NEISDLibrary#recycledorchestra@DiscoveryEd
Extended our focus of genres and exploring different books with a Genre Personality Quiz and @TeachingBooks shelf talkers. The kids were so engaged learning about which genres were recommended based on their reading personality. #NEISIibs#elementarylibrarian#bookinbroncos
Tried something new with my PreK-1st grade kiddos. We started our lesson with a mystery bag that had 3 items inside. Students were encouraged to predict and think about the items before reading, and afterwards we discussed how they were related to the story! #NEISDlibs
