Does anyone know if experience of restraint used on patient -that if bruising from restraint, that this is seen as acceptable and normal if patient resisting? Also what colour of bruising would show first to know if fresh bruising so was from that restraint or happen days before?
@Beccabaileyy @BTPLondon so sorry for them doing this to you and your friend. This is absolutely disgusting. MH services don't provide support & so ends up police, but then they threaten away from any help. Draft NICE guidelines specifically say against this practice of criminalizing distress / SH etc ..

@susanthomsonslt That's so lovely. Your son has a good role model in you or inherited your genes! That boy will remember your son's kindness and shape some of his understanding of himself and the world. would be amazing if all kids and adults could be like your son 👍
@BooksandChokers @BooksRound Even more to look forwards to. Lol relief no big cliffhangers as I hate the suspense!! although could just re-read AKOS and Show whilst waiting. you have done So amazingly well. Any news on the TV series of when it will be coming out? Well done for all your hard work xx
@BooksandChokers @BooksRound Yay. So excited. Just pre ordered signed copy from @BooksRound
And realised it is Book One (Amazon show it as Like a Charm 1) so my investigative side thought does that mean this is a series! So I checked on the book website & see there will 2?!? My excitement can't take it!!
@BooksandChokers Yay that's great. Can't wait. But am I the only one who took that literally as your title? I thought 'cool title, it has mystery and intrigue' and went to search on Amazon!! Then come back here and 're read tweet and replied and realised my mistake 😅😉🙈🤦
Lovely example of how Speech and language therapy is a major support / essential in ASD /MH care. sometimes being listened to, understood & help to express ourselves is the most important thing. Remember to communicate with patients & find ways for them to communicate to you. 👍
#mySLTday helping a patient paint a chalkboard on their wall. So they can express their emotions when there is a risk of self-harm with pens/ pencils / electronic equipment. The room was bare, they were in anti-tear clothes and we opened a tin of paint, chatted and painted. 🥰😊

Hi. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of
#Priory#Elysium and #Cygnet placements / hospitals? I am expecting probably bad experiences but just need to find out and any places to avoid completely. Any feedback helpful. Thanks

@autismdogscic Hi, had no reply to these questions about why you won't accept anyone with personality disorder diagnosis alongside Autism? Why specifically this diagnosis singled out? As you are not a clinical service confusing. https://t.co/xYdbzr9Zue
@autismdogscic Hi can someone please explain why out of your 5 eligibility criteria, you specifically exclude anyone with PD diagnosis? '4- The applicant must not have a diagnosis of a personality disorder of any kind.' Some people ASD have dual diagnosis / misdiagnosed PD. Why exclude a group?
@autismdogscic It seems discriminatory to pick one diagnosis in your exclusion criteria with no explanation as to why. PD is also covered under Equality Act as ASD is and other diagnoses. Why if someone has dual diagnosis of PD they are not eligible? why ALL PD excluded?
