If you have a Chapter 6 notice from @StateBarCA for lack of audio, check your PC settings for when mic was accessed by ExamSoft. Settings-microphone-choose which apps can access microphone-scroll to bottom. If ES is listed as accessing it at the exam, include screenshot.

An excellent point made by one of the 15 students in Kentucky who was first told he passed and then told he failed the bar. If he made an error through his own negligence/recklessness, causing similar economic harm to a client, he'd likely be disciplined by the bar for doing so.

The fact is that the study provides a research-based definition of minimum competence. The bar exam is one part of a licensing system that fails to ensure minimum competence. Dismissing the definition because of the recommendations is a strategic blunder by @NCBEX.

On July 10 the Board said 117 people were registered for the #NHBarExam. Today, it said that 88 people had taken it. That means about 25% of applicants withdrew. That is how badly the Court and @NCBEX failed this year’s graduates. It’s not too late for #DiplomaPrivilegeNow

Reliable source tells me that Kentucky messed up the bar exam results for a "limited number of applicants" due to a data-entry error. Some who were told they passed actually failed, and perhaps some who were told they failed, passed. Those affected will be contacted by the board.

Such an important point. State examiners should not change exam format or terms after the application window closes. This is a fundamentally unfair practice, happening right under our noses. We NEED better licensure policies!

If you haven’t been following along: Britni spent MONTHS this summer advocating for either diploma privilege OR an online/remote option to sit for the bar in North Carolina in July. They told her that it wasn’t possible to accommodate her by giving the exam online.
