Local BNP leaders and activists brutally attacked the convoy of Nasiruddin Patwary and Sarjis Alam during the July March in Habiganj. Several journalists and NCP leaders and activists were injured in the attack. Disturbingly, the assault took place in the presence of law enforcement personnel.

The attackers also stormed the NCP media team’s microbus after it had entered the Habiganj District Circuit House, carrying out the attack inside a state facility. This disgraceful act went beyond vandalizing the vehicle; they also snatched mobile phones and cameras belonging to media personnel.

I strongly condemn this reprehensible attack and demand the immediate arrest of those responsible. They must be brought to justice without delay.
