Both sides look to be the third side to join Malvern City and Goulburn Valley Suns into VPL1 next season. I expect a high scoring game in this one.

Michael Ferrante's Essendon Royals, after an incredibly tough start to the season look to finally gain promotion out of VPL2. Essendon suit the smaller pitch at Cross Keys, so I am skeptical about their performance at Lakeside tomorrow. The side is almost built for Cross Keys, with high energy, repeat effort players such as Dean Clarke and Euan Mulhern forward as target men. The standout player is Marcus Kotronis. The young winger is quick with a brilliant first touch, and has all the potential to have a big game tomorrow. Essendon Royals defeated Keilor Park on penalties after a 2-2 draw last week.

Tyson Holmes' Bayside Argonauts look to follow in the footsteps of Eltham Redbacks and go for the double promotion this year. Bayside have been in fine form heading into this one, with 10W, 2D, 1L in their recent 13 games. Bayside have a star studded team, and may even be the favorites heading into this. Known names such as Scott Jamieson and Andy Brennan look to add another achievement to their careers. Bayside beat Box Hill last week 3-2 to get to this stage.
