Unpaid care work is a critical but often overlooked part of the economy.
KIPPRA's policy brief titled "📘 Macro-Economic Valuation of Care Work: A Social Accounting Matrix Approach" provides evidence on the economic value of care work and highlights the importance of recognising, reducing and redistributing unpaid care responsibilities.
The findings offer valuable insights for strengthening care policies and advancing women’s economic empowerment in Kenya.

The @nipfnkenya study examined the four pillars of food security and their influence on nutrition in the 47 counties. The study recommends strengthening the four pillars to enhance food security comprehensively.

The @nipfnkenya study reveals that having sufficient drinking water at the household level significantly reduces child stunting. Adequacy of water of 20-49 L per person per day as opposed to below 20L lowers the probability of stunting by 6.3% points. https://t.co/9oIQQPMeb1
The @nipfnkenya study examined the impact of cash transfers on key nutrition related outcomes. The findings reveal that beneficiary households receiving cash transfers exhibit a 10.6 % lower expenditure on food and consume 0.5 fewer food groups. Read more

The @nipfnkenya today paid a courtesy call to Baringo County Governor, Hon.Benjamin Cheboi. Discussions focused on findings and policy recommendations from NIPFN nutrition policy research and the roll out of NIPFN in the County.
The @nipfnkenya undertook dissemination of research findings and policy recommendations from eight nutrition policy research papers and county nutrition index in Nandi, Garissa, Bomet and Uasin Gishu County. The workshop was attended by Senior County Officers.
