NJ is 1 of 24 states that sets no minimum age for children to be arrested, prosecuted and punished for their wrongdoing.
This means police around New Jersey have arrested hundreds of children younger than 14, including 65 children 9-years-old or younger.
NJ lawmakers may seek to make changes to the Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
“We need the CRC with full oversight to make sure that cannabis legalization reaches the folks who have been penalized and criminalized for years,” @sfajardo told @njdotcom

🚨Research shows that fines and fees do NOT deter youth alcohol use, they only serve to drive more people into the criminal legal system🚨
Imposing a $50 fine and a criminal summons will harm NJ youth, particularly low-income, Black, and Latinx youth.

My mom is only to see me through a window when she visits. Solitary is awful.” Isolated confinement, also known as solitary confinement, restricted housing, or sag, has been an inhumane practice in correctional facilities for decades. #solitaryconfinement

Even if you give a false positive test they are putting you in a cell with someone who has tested positive for 14 days. So for 14 days you have to live with another inmate with COVID if you don't have it or gave a false positive."
